Heavy Lifting at Coast Community Library

WHO Felicia Rice’s bookmaking and Theresa Whitehill’s poetry come together in the artists’ book, Heavy Lifting, a multi-year collaboration printed and published at Moving Parts Press in Mendocino. The book addresses the artist’s personal loss due to fire in 2020, as well as the many relentless crises that have confronted each of us in recent years, and considers what might lie beyond these times.
WHAT Don’t miss the series of Heavy Lifting events staged around the county throughout the spring. Each event will include an exhibit of the book; a showing of the experimental film, On Heavy Lifting, featuring Mendocino dancer, Kara Starkweather; poetry readings; and discussion.
