Hosted and organized by Blake More, this long-running Poets & Writers sponsored poetry event is held on the third Thursday of the month at the Arena Market & Cafe, 185 Main, a bustling organic community co-op in downtown Point Arena.
The Original Ensemble, a small jazz combo made up of guitar, bass, and drums (plus visiting musicans) accompanies the poets.
Each monthly gathering begins around 7:30pm with live jazz, followed by an open mic sometime around 7:45pm, followed by a reading by our featured poet ~ all accompanied by live music!
The usual audience is comprised of regulars, visitors from points, north and south of Point Arena, plus the smattering of tourists who just happen to stumble upon us.
