KZYX&Z’s Be More Now Features a Tribute to poets Ruth Weiss & Janet DeBar
Tune into KZYX&Z’s Be More Now program at 7pm on Thursday, January 4 when host Blake More pays tribute to two of Mendocino county’s most beloved women poets: Ruth Weiss and Janet DeBar. Although they are no longer with us, their voices and wit live on and their words will forever inspire.
These two remarkable poets were poetic peers and dear friends of each other, both from a time when women poets had to have thick skin and a willingness to keep writing – they even passed within a year of each other. I am fortunate enough to have known them both, and their inspiration and push forward exactly as you are attitude serve as an inspiration to poets everywhere!
